The
JPEG2000 Digital Video Recorder are know for their Extremely High
Resolution Recording Capabilities. If fact they have the highest resolution
in the industry. JPEG2000 is better then H.264 especially when there is a
lot of activity in the cameras view. Unlike the new H.264 and older MPEG-4
video codecs JPEG2000 video does not get pixilated or mosaic when there is
a lot of movement in the video. So if it's recording quality your
looking for then the JPEG2000 is the system you need.
In this package we are including everything you need for a Top Of The Line
High End Digital Surveillance system right out of the box.

You get the four channel 2007 model JPEG2000 DVR which is Internet ready
so you can view your cameras from anywhere in the world through the
Internet. All you need is a high speed internet connection at both the DVR
location and the remote location.
The DVR comes with remote viewing software on the included CD or you can
download the remote viewer software from our technical support website
designed just for the JPEG2000 DVR's systems at www.jpeg2000support.com.

The JPEG2000 DVR systems have four audio inputs so you can record audio as
well as video. While the microphones are sold separately you can add them
to your order by clicking on this link after you add this package deal to
the shopping cart at the bottom of this page. (Microphones)
The JPEG2000 DVR systems are capable of recording video at up to 480
frames per second.
The JPEG2000 DVR systems are capable of recording at resolutions as high
as 720 X 240.
Many other sellers of this DVR are selling them with CD burners installed.
We have upgraded the JPEG2000 in this package to have a DVD burner. The
DVD burner is used for backing up video if you need to save an incident to
give to the police. Considering a CD only holds 700 megabytes of video and
a DVD is capable of holding up to 4.4 gigabytes you can see this is a big
advantage upgrade.
Many other sellers are still selling the 2006 model of
this JPEG2000 DVR. The 2006 model can not record audio and does not have
the capability of backing up video to a USB device like a USB thumb drive.
The easiest way to tell a 2006 model from a 2007 model is to look at the
front of the DVR. If there is only one USB port, the round type then it's
the 2006 model. This round USB port is only use for upgrading the firmware
of the DVR and can not be used to back up video. The 2007 model like we
are offering in this package had two USB port. One round USB port like the
old model and one flat USB port. The obvious advantage to using a USB
device to back up your video is that the device can be used over and over
again where as with a DVD or CD you can only use them once. Considering
that just about all computer these days have USB ports one them this is a
very easy way to move video from the DVR to your computer.
The JPEG2000 DVR Systems have two hard drive bays inside
where you can install hard drives. In this package deal we are installing
one 500 Gigabyte Hard Drive for you. You can either add a 2nd hard drive
today during the check out process or if you prefer you can add it at a later
date.

The JPEG2000 DVR systems also have a very handy money saving feature built
into them called DDNS. That stands for Dynamic Domain Name Service. If
your IP address changes often then you will love this feature. Some
Internet Providers charge as much as $70.00 a month if you want to keep
your IP address the same all the time. This DDNS feature keeps you from
having to pay your provider a fee to keep your IP address the same.
Internet Provider know if you want your IP address to stay the same
then you probably have a reason for it and they know they can get away
with charging you for this.
What is a IP address and why would you want yours to
stay the same all the time?
IP addresses are like phone numbers on the Internet. Every time you
connect to the Internet your service provider gives you a IP address. This
number is what makes you different from everyone else on the Internet.
Every time you disconnect from the Internet that number that you just had
gets assigned to someone else. You have to know your IP address to log
into your DVR. If it changes then the next time you try to connect to your
DVR it's not going to work because now someone else has that IP address.
This is where the DDNS feature of this DVR comes in. We provide a free
website, www.j2kip.com where you can
create a free account. Once you have created your free account your DVR,
the JPEG2000 will log into your account every 5 minutes and update your
account with the current IP address. So, if you get a new IP address for
what ever reason, you now have a way of finding out what the new IP
address is without having to go to the DVR location to get the new
address. This is a very handy feature that will literally pay for you DVR
system in savings. Another great feature that we provide at www.j2kip.com
is a web browser based version of the remote viewer software. Once you
have your account setup you really no longer need to use the remote viewer
that comes on the CD with the DVR. You can simply login to your DVR right
from the website. In fact if you have several locations where you have
installed JPEG2000 DVR systems you can access them all from this one
account.
Also if you have several JPEG2000 DVR systems in different locations we
have a free software package that's called Central Monitoring Software.
With this software you can watch several DVR's from one software interface
through the Internet. For example lets say you have 8 stores and the all
have JPEG2000 DVR's in them. You can watch any camera from any location
all at one time up to 32 cameras. And yes, it's free. You can download the
Central Monitoring Software from www.jpeg2000support.com.
